"Black triangles" are a class of unidentified flying objects (UFOs) with certain common features which have reportedly been observed from the 1940s (and possibly earlier) to the present. They have appeared most commonly over cities of the United States and England, but have been spotted worldwide, including a mass sighting over St. Petersburg, Russia, on February 19, 1997. Since that event, hundreds of observers have reported enormous, totally silent, black triangular craft hovering or slowly cruising at low altitudes over cities and highways, usually at night and making no attempt to evade detection. The craft are even described by many observers as having some sort of "running lights", either bright white lights or pulsing colored lights. These lights usually appear at each corner of the triangle. Sometimes a red pulsating light is seen at the center. No conclusive explanation has been found for black triangles. Q. it wasn't moving, but hovering for about 5 minutes, then it started moving and all of a sudden it went very fast for like half a second then kept going at a regular moving speed. it was a black triangle with two lights on the sides and of course it was at night. it cood be something military related but it could be a u.f.o. and dont say it's a u.f.o because i dont know wat it is because tht dosent help me. Q. im not a beliver in aliens but last night september 2 i was camping and i was looking up at the stars and saw 3 lights traveling really low and at the same speed . They were in the shape of a triangle. I thought they were stars at first but when i looked into the middle of them, it was all black. Then I realized it wasn't stars but lights from something. I was really big. It made the same sound as a plane but deeper. I thought I was seeing things but other people around me also saw it. I looked up ufos on the internet and saw pictures o-f what i saw last night. Im really scared and want to find out what that really was. Did anyone eles see it? I saw a huge black triangle, without lights on 684 near Newburgh in 1973. Everyone had stopped their cars. It was so strange. We never even spoke of it. I started telling people about the things I've seen more recently. I saw another smaller triangle in about '95 over a horse show. The ones I have seen were silent. They seemed to glide. I have seen other kinds of UFOs too. They are out there! Just because you haven't seen them doesn't mean they aren't there!
