From Wiktionary under the GNU Free Documentation License. An airline provides air transport services for passengers or freight, generally with a recognized operating certificate or license. Airlines lease or own their aircraft with which to supply these services and may form partnerships or alliances with other airlines for mutual benefit. Airlines vary from those with a single aircraft carrying mail or cargo, through full-service international airlines operating hundreds of aircraft. Airline services can be categorized as being intercontinental, intra continental, domestic, or international and may be operated as scheduled services or charters. Q. I am planning on visiting Korea in the spring and am not sure which airline is the best to use. My boyfriend is not very comfortable flying long distances so I want to choose the best airline. I have read reviews on travel websites but there seems to be complaints about all airlines! Has anyone done this trip with Emirates? Another option could be flying with Virgin Atlantic to Tokyo and then transferring. Please post your experiences with different airlines. Thanks Asked by UK Girl - Thu Feb 7 12:24:56 2008 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments A. You shouldn't fly to South Korean on any other airline besides Korean Air or Asiana, because those are the only Korean airlines that charter to South Korea. I'm visiting South Korea this summer and my best friend told me that I should only fly on Korean Air or Asiana, because they have the best service of any airline out there. I was reading some reviews on www.airlinequality.com and Asiana Airlines received a five star rating, and Korean Airlines got a four star rating. Answered by davidsnoodles - Thu Feb 7 12:31:38 2008 Will the airline check the bag all the way to my final destination? Q. I am planning to book a multi-city trip itinerary on United Airlines. My planned flight itinerary is: Los Angeles -Washington Dulles Washington Dulles-London London- Los Angeles I planning on listing out each segment individually rather than have United show on the itinerary that there is a connected flight; though all the segments are under the same reservation. My question is: Will the airline tag my baggage all the way to London, or will I have to pickup the bag in Washington Dulles and check it in again? Thanks for your help. Asked by luvlife - Sun Sep 6 03:24:04 2009 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments A. Why would you make 3 different reservations? You do know that you will be paying alot more than if you booked round trip to London. Bottom line is NO. You do realize that you will be paying extra for checked bags from LA to DC, when if you booked LA to London, you won't have that fees. You will have to pick up bags in DC. Just book the whole trip under 1 itinerary and confirmation number. Answered by AJ - Mon Sep 7 01:12:01 2009 what is the best airline to fly trans atlantic?
Q. i want to fly to london from new york. i have a lot of airlines to choose from, but i want to fly the airline that offers the best economy class, i.e. in flight entertainment, leg room, service. my choice of airlines are: british airways, virgin atlantic, united airlines, american airlines, continental airlines and british midland. any suggestions or help will be most appreciated. thanx. United and American are the first out- United is terrible every single time I make the mistake of choosing to fly with them. American is also bad- and cheap, too. As a rule, generally, American carriers aren't the way to go when choosing an international flight. Continental is okay- a decent choice if it's the cheapest and there aren't many other options, as for British Midland, I haven't flown with them and can't give an opinion. That leaves BA and Virgin- generally speaking, both are great airlines, but I tend to fly with British Airways on U.S.-London routes- they're my favorite. They have an excellent safety record, comfortable, good service, and great in flight entertainment. BA legroom in economy is standard. Virgin is also wonderful, [cont.] Answered by Sharmila - Mon Mar 17 16:37:59 2008 From Yahoo Answer Search: "airline" |
