Q. Think about it every day you only here the negative news from the media. Never anything positive. So then people get fearful and then tend to follow into the trend of the way the media wants us to go so they can report their stories of the hardships that Americans are going through. And some people are that is a fact. But most people are still doing well. I think the media should report the positive news just as much as their negative news and then people will start spending money again to boost the economy. What is your thoughts? Asked by SteveO1608 - Sat Dec 6 09:03:44 2008 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments A. Yes, they instill fear in people and make people hang on to the little bit of money that they have instead of spending it. Other factors include the idiots who thought that it was a great idea to lend money to everybody to buy over priced houses that would depreciate in value soon after purchase, thereby making the loan collateral worth less than the loan. Morons with no foresight have been in charge of this country for many years, their actions are motivated by votes and feel good legislation instead of what is best for the country in the long term... and we keep electing them again and again; we get what we deserve. People vote on media ads instead of logic and principal. It will never change so long as there are no testing requirements… [cont.] Answered by The Thinker - Sat Dec 6 09:17:47 2008 Why does the news media continually stress that Obama would be the 1st Black president when he isn't Black? Q. Obama is half white, per his own words, and half african descent. Yet the news media keeps harping how he is the 1st "black". He is as much "White" as he is "Black" so why is the press pushing the distinction so much--are they trying to make race an issue again in our country? Why can't they accept he is of mixed race, like many many hispanic people and other people in our country. There is nothing wrong being mixed race, so why is the press ignoring the fact he is not black, just 1/2 black? Asked by scout485 - Sat Jan 5 16:25:49 2008 - - 18 Answers - 0 Comments A. The media isn't there to report facts. The media is there to sell ad space. Whether it's ads in newspapers or commercials on TV, the job of a reporter is to write stories that will make people read so that the newspaper or TV station can sell more ads. Calling Mr. Obama "black" creates interest among more people than calling him "qualified." Kinda sad, isn't it? Answered by Basil A - Sat Jan 5 16:38:30 2008 Are you sick and tired of all the false news media?
Q. I have had enough. I can sit here for days describing how many lies are reported by the news. Time and time again you will hear reporters give information about areas they or their sources have absolutely no knowledge of. I, firmly, believe something needs to be done about this. I have never heard the news report about how awful they can be, only about how awful everyone else is. They make claims that they are informing the public because we have the right to here the truth. Where is the truth in false claims? Where is the truth in only one side of the story? Where is the truth when one news station says one thing and one station says the opposite? Where is the truth in scaring people and making money off of misery? The news does not… [cont.] Asked by syckntired - Sat Mar 10 13:21:22 2007 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments A.
