Nounpassenger (plural passengers)
From Wiktionary under the GNU Free Documentation License. A passenger is a term broadly used to describe any person who travels in a vehicle, but bears little or no responsibility for the tasks required for that vehicle to arrive at its destination. Crew members (if any), as well as the driver or pilot of the vehicle, are usually not considered to be passengers. For example, a flight attendant on an airline would not be considered a "passenger" while on duty, but an employee riding in a company car being driven by another person would be considered a passenger, even if the car was being driven on company business. What is funny in USA is what is called the "standard passenger weight" - That is the "assumed weight" of each passengers by US air carriers - They assume 180 lbs per passenger in summer - and 185 lbs in winter - Each piece of baggage is assume to weigh 25 lbs - All of the above are "FAA" standards - No need to say that is absolutely unrealistic - Americans are notoriously overweight - You might smile about the above numbers - As a pilot, I did not - The performance of an aircraft is affected by weight i.e. weight on takeoff - The heavier the plane - the longer the takeoff distance - Until the point that the runway might be too short - It might not affect a 747 very much, to be slightly overweight - But the story is different in these… [cont.] Answered by skipper747 - Mon Jul 26 14:50:44 2010 How do i remove my front passenger seat in a 2009 corrola? Q. I spilled a full soda on the front passenger seat and it seeped all the way through to the floor. I need to to take out the whole seat so i can scrub the carpet below. Well first thing you need to do is disconnect the battery there is a weight sensor that links with the Passenger air bag that you need to disconnect. So once you have disconnected the positive battery connection, then look on the floor in front of the seat and in the back you should see the metal seat track there are 2 bolts in the front and the back you may need to remove a few plastic trim parts then just remove the bolts and tip the seat back a little to disconnect the electrical connections then remove the seat from the car be careful not to scratch the exterior of the car. Q. I have a Honda Rafaga and the passenger seat window is stuck open (which is by the way, electric). When I try to close it there's no noise and the fuses are good. Is there any way me or my husband can do this alone? If so, what materials would we need and how would we approach this? If we cannot fix this ourselves, we do have a honda dealership closeby. What would the cost of this be? Please help in any way possible. Thank you in advance. Asked by stoiclv - Fri Feb 6 11:45:02 2009 - - 5 Answers - 0 Comments A. First things first, have you tried both window switches? If so and you still hear nothing it could be a window regulator. it would take a mechanic about 2 hours to repair and may take you all day if not longer with no training. if you live near a dealer than take it there and they will provide you with a repair estimate, they will probably charge you a fee for the testing and diagnosis but at least you will have all your answers, in any event they can get the window closed while they are in there if you need to save money for the repair. i would guess it to be about $300- $400 for parts and labor depending on their labor rate.
