The President of the United States is the head of state and head of government of the United States and is the highest political official in the United States by influence and recognition. The president leads the executive branch of the federal government and is one of only two nationally elected federal officers (the other being the Vice President of the United States). Among other powers and responsibilities, Article II of the U.S. Constitution charges the president to "faithfully execute" federal law, makes the president commander-in-chief of the United States armed forces, allows the president to nominate executive and judicial officers with the advice and consent of the Senate, and allows the president to grant pardons and reprieves. Due to the United States' status as the only remaining superpower, the president is generally regarded as the most powerful person in the world. The president is indirectly elected by the people through the Electoral College to a four-year term. Since 1951, presidents have been limited to two terms by the Twenty-second Amendment. In all, 43 individuals have served 56 four-year terms. On January 20, 2009, Barack Obama became the forty-fourth, and current, president. From Wikipedia under the
GNU Free Documentation License Does the United States president get a 1 hour lunch? Q. What if they took for ever to get him his food at Applebee's and he is running late, who does he call? Asked by Mclovin - Tue Sep 1 09:47:22 2009 - - 4 Answers - 0 Comments A. Probably not. If he is at the White House, they have their own kitchens and chefs. If he is at Applebee's, it is because his Chief of Staff scheduled him to be there. He would not be running late, because that is where he is supposed to be. The President does not just drop into a McDonald's for a Big Mac on his lunch hour. Chances are he is grabbing a bite at his desk while he works. Answered by jeligula - Tue Sep 1 09:56:23 2009 Do you really approve of the United States President telling a bold face lie to start a war? Q. and attacking another country for religious purposes and then taking away all of our constitutional rights and freedoms based on a so called war on terrorism? Can we really approve of that and did we actually capture any of the so called terrorist or are they getting stronger and stronger behind our backs and still in hiding? Politics aside, with all the times he's mangled the English language you think "Let's Roll" is the stupidest thing he's ever said??? There's about 1,000,000 other things he's said that are much stupider than that.
